Station Tours & Truck Visits

​​​Station tour visits introduce the station, apparatus and the role of the firefighter to the community, in addition to providing lessons on fire and life safety skills.

Station Tour​​ Visit (arranged for groups of up to 21 people)

The tour may include presentations, videos, explanation of apparatus and the role of the firefighter.  Attendees may also take home information and new skills to establish fire and life safety procedures in the home. 
  • Appropriate adult/child ratio must be maintained throughout the visit to ensure adequate control and supervision (school-age children - four and over, one adult per seven  children).
  • The public are not permitted to handle equipment or mount any fire apparatus unless approved and supervised by fire personnel.
  • These visits are meant to be educational in nature - we do not offer the facilities to accommodate parties, food or drink.
  • Station tours are Monday to Friday - 6:45 p.m. - 8:15 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday - 9:00 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. and 1:30 - 4:30 p.m. (tours are approximately 45 minutes in length).  Please note that two weeks notice is required.
  • Once your request has been confirmed, you will receive an e-mail from the Fire Department confirming your visit.

 Fire Truck Vis​it

  • Appropriate adult/child ratio must be maintained throughout the visit to ensure adequate control and supervision (school-age children - four and over, one adult per ten children).
  • The fire personnel are on duty and may be required to leave at any time.  They will require a parking area that allows for a quick exit.
  • The public are not permitted to handle equipment or mount any fire apparatus unless approved and supervised by fire personnel.
  • Please understand that the fire truck is on active duty and may be attending an emergency call at the time you expect it at your location.  If the fire truck does not attend your visit, please re-book at your earliest convenience. 
  • Truck visits are Thursday and Friday - 6:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday - 9:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., 1:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. or 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. (visits are one hour in length).  
Note:  two weeks notice is required
 
Please note that the fire truck is on active duty and may have to leave on an emergency call during the course of the Station tour visit.  In these circumstances, the tour group will be asked to leave the station.
